Step 1 – Open the Dashboard
You will have received an email with your i2B Connect web address link on it. If you have not received this, then please contact your company i2B administrator, or Super User.
Enter this into your browser address bar. You will be shown the i2B Connect welcome page. A welcome page example is shown (above).
Enter your credentials
Your username, Vendor Number and password are unique to you and will have already received them via email.
If you require these again, please contact your purchasing representative who emailed you.
If you have forgotten your password you can use the “Password Reset” link, to help you reset your user password.
Languages
You can change the language of the i2B Connect system at any time. Click on the language drop down at the bottom of the welcome screen - to select your preferred language.
By logging into the system and clicking “Accept” you are agreeing to have read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions of use of the system.

Open the Sourcing Request Dashboard from the left hand menu.
Use filters to display:
- New Requests
- Business Unit
- Requester
- Date Range
- Criticality
- Status
Step 2 – Review New Requests
Filter the results to display only those with a status of NEW, this will then show you those requests which require your response.
- Business requirement
- Category
- Estimated spend
- Criticality
- Suggested suppliers
- Attachments
- Supporting information
Step 3 – Request Clarification (if required)
If additional information is needed there is a CHAT facility to offer real time chat between you and the requester (if they are not logged in at the time then the message will appear as a pop up the next time they log into the sourcing module:
- Open the Chat panel.
- Send your question to the requester.
- Wait for their response before making a decision.
All conversations are automatically recorded against the request.
Step 4 – Make an Approval Decision
After reviewing the request, choose one of the following:
Approve
If the request can proceed:
- Click Approve
The status changes to:
New → Approved
Decline
If the request cannot proceed:
- Click Decline
- Explain the reason using the Chat feature
Examples include:
- Missing information
- Insufficient business justification
- Incorrect details
- Further clarification required
The status changes to:
New → Declined
Step 5 – Monitor Communication
If there are any new or unactioned chats they appear on the dashboard, they appear at the top right hand corner of the page (see example above). Please use this facility and continue using Chat to:
- Answer questions
- Provide updates
- Request additional information
Unread message indicators appear on the Dashboard.
Step 6 – Manage Your Workload
Use Dashboard features to:
- Prioritise Critical requests
- Search for specific requests
- Filter by requester
- Filter by status
- View overdue requests
- Track request progress
Step 7 – Monitor Request Status

Step 8 – Prioritise by Criticality
Use the Criticality columns to prioritise work:
| Criticality | Description |
|---|---|
| Critical | Urgent business requirement requiring immediate attention |
| Moderate | Important request with normal priority |
| Non-Critical | Routine sourcing activity |
