Enabling Google 2FA - user set up

Question:  Is it possible to set up 2FA on my account?

 

Answer:  Yes,  and it takes less than two minutes to set up.

 

Once logged into i2B click on your username at the top right hand corner of the page.

From here click on  'MY PROFILE' 

From here you will have the option to enable Google 2FA authentication (slide the toggle to the right to enable   - (the dot will change to GREEN)

Click UPDATE at the top of the page.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE - ensure that a valid email address is set up in the PASSWORD EMAIL

 

 

The next time you login, you will see the additional requirement to enter a Google 2FA number  (this appears under the PASSWORD field and will only be visible once 2FA has been enabled for the account).

 

In order to set this up for the first time you need to click on the symbol next to the Google 2FA

 

 

This will bring up a list of instructions on the screen (or it may open up on a separate tab on your browser).  When the  has been clicked an email will also be sent to your account.

Below is an example of the email you will receive, please note the QR code generated is unique to your profile and can not be shared.

 

If you have not received the email after 10 minutes please click on the link on STEP 2 on the webpage - GENERATE EMAIL.

 

 

You need to open up the authenticator app on your mobile device and click on the  button from the bottom right hand corner of the app and select "Scan a QR code".

This will then open up the camera app on your phone ready for you to scan the QR code you will have received on your email.

 

 

Once the app has recognised the QR code you will have new entry on your app which will have the name of the system i2B Connect along with the Username assigned to your account.  See example below:-

 

 

below is an example as to how the code will appear when generated from the web browser,  You need to enter in the 6 digit code that is generated.

 

To log in you will require your Username / ID / Password and a 6 digit code from your authenticator app.

 

Clicking  ACCEPT will log you into the portal.
